Default Which Tires to get on my GT??

I'm putting 18x10's on the rear. I really want to put 305s or 315s on but I'm not sure if that is too big. I would really like to know the normal wear time of the Nitto NT555r street drags, not track driven. I'm looking to buy rims and tires soon and I need help. I'm a dumb a$$ when it comes to tires. I plan on buying the black s style saleen wheels with these tires.

I'm about to order 2 315/35-17 555s.

I hear they get about 12-15k miles of street/track use.

Does anyone have the nittos and see first hand the wear of normal street use? I'm wondering if it's better to buy these or just directional tires.

Just thought I'd throw it out that if your car is lowered with 18x10's you have to kind of look out on tire size. Might need to get your fenders rolled else it could damage your tires. I'm still trying to figure out a safe size for a car lowered 1.5 inches in the back. I'm hoping 295/35/18 will be fine.

Nitto drag is an excellent street tire. It will last you about a year or so maybe even more depending on your driving. Mine lasted me 9 months but I tracked the car every weekend with some nasty burnouts.

well i plan on not lowering my car because my chin spoiler just passes parking curbs and what not. I love the look of the 315 and I'm guessing that is not too big for the 18x10s???? I hope not. I'll go with the 305s if I have to they are very nice also.

As long as you get the correct sized tire, you shouldn't have to roll the fender anymore than if you ran a 315/35/17. It would technically be more rim and less tire.

Nitto's are excellent tires...the only tire I've run on my Cobra...555's up front and the DR's in the rear...I would go with the 315 DR, Nitto's do not seem to be a wide as other tire manufactures...being that your car is the stock ride height you should be good to go...

305/45/18 on the rear and 245/45/18s on the back. Does that sound reasonable. I'm hoping that will fit and not have any problems with fitment.
