To run them on the street you just have to disconnect the links, right?

yea you would probably break the links or the torsion shaft. i would just suggest an airbag and a thicker sway bar. ive even seen a kit that comes with a second sway bar dont remember whose it was though.

Yes, all you have to do is diconnect the links. When the bar is disconnected from the chassis you have nothing to worry about.
