vertical doors

There are much better options to make your car different then everybody else. For me I got wheels that not many people have, painted the mirrors, panted the trunk panel and put on an 01 cobra bumper (not pictured). They are small changes but it make my car stand out among all the others.

Yup. I had the extra paint because I got in an accident and had to repair the door and fender. So I sanded and painted the mirrors while I was at it. Total actual if you have the equipment already would be less then $50. To pay someone it might cost around $100.

I guess you have already figured out that it's not popular in these parts...n it was already stated to do the car the way you want it done. I'm just gonna offer my experience with vertical doors for you. First, I have done bolt ons and weld kits. No matter how many times you do it and no matter what kit you get - over time there are always problems. Wobbling is the most common issue as well as sag. Second, from reading yours posts you have already decided to do it so make sure that the kit comes with the brackets specifically made for the mustang, not a universal. Reinforce that bracket with some welds if it is a bolt on kit.
As your friends with them have already figured out there is constant maintenance that you have to do. This is especially true if the car is a daily driver, not so much for straight show cars. Expect to continually have to maintain them.
Lastly, I have been on the FMF, HIN & Dub tours. Over the last decade I have met-befriended-and established relationships with many people who have had modified doors from lambos, suicide, gullwing, 180's and crazy motorized flip outs on all different cars - from old to new and the result has always been the same = they would never do it again or returned it back to factory.

no matter how crazy your doors open when your parked ..i dont care if they booomerang off when you pull the handle and re attatch themselves when your in/out of the car ...when your driving down the road your car will look EXACTLY the same.... thats when your car is seen the most... not at in a parking lot on fridaynight with ur neons flashin.
