So has anyone heard of them before? I was reading an issue of 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords, and came across them. They claim they can add 170+ hp to our 4.6L 2v's. Reading on in the mag and later on in their website ( http://shop.torktech.com/ ) the guy seems to know whats hes doing. The intercolled kit starts out at $4400.
Anyways, Im currently saving to get the 2.1L kenne bell charger. But wanted to know what if anything thing you guys know and or think about Tork Tech.
happy new years.

the blower itself is good, you are going to be limited by what the stock engine can handle regardless of what blower you pick. if you plan on going to a built engine, then you could get better use of the kb. if you dont plan on going built then its your choice, i dont like kb b/c they are the only aftermarket blowers ive seen fail/break. good luck.

I know my bottom end will only be good till 400-450hp, a built engine if in the future. But for now ill be starting off small. I was looking at getting a 6psi non-intercooled KB.
But im curious about you saying you have seen one fail. What was the deal with the Kb failing? Was it running high boost? Was it a daily street car or what? This could make me think twice.
jrherald420 - for the price you could get a better s/c like vortec or procharger. they've been around for a while now but theres better kits for the same money
I know KB is expensive, believe me i dont really wana pay four grand for a kit. But i'd like to have instant boost off the line vs. having to wait till 3,ooo Rmps. And i dont really like the way the centri blowers sound. They sound real "clunky and geary" if you know what i mean.
You have zero track experience. If you've even been to the track (and payed attention) you'd know that that 'slowzuki' would pull the paint off your car and leave it a rusted piece of scrap metal, no matter what size it is.
KB are very nice. You won't hit 400 rwhp w/ 6 psi on any blower. If you like the low end tq then KB is what you want. Centris are nice with 4.10s good low end tq and great mid to high range. You would be go to go with 8 psi on a stock bottom end and you will regret doing just 6 psi and a tune as it is never enough power.
yeah i did a post on this same topic...and i think its a good kit for someone with a D.D and stuff. But if ur gonna build a serious car...KB is the way to go for sure.
