With your intake choice your screwing your whole powerband. you need cams for sure so you can spin your block high enough to use the lower intake you have. Cams FOR SURE.

Built motor with hopes to a future. I would get a built shortblock with the new trickflow heads and have that put together. And if you have plans of forced induction in the future, just get some low compression pistons and rock it n/a for a while until you save for your blower or turbo. And personally, i would go turbo just because they make more power and are more efficient.

Looks like my idea is going to be the most popular choice...I would love to be in your shoes right now especially with those Trick Flow heads getting ready to come out. Please be one of the first to rock those heads and show us what they can do.

Rock them hard and let us know how they perform!!! I want someone like mustangman who is gonna be putting out mad power to try them to see if they will make better power than ported pi heads. And i wanna see these things ported too to see if they have more potential left from outta the box.

Save a little extra cash, then forged shortblock and Mongoose kit.

Really depends on what you want. The thing with nitrous or a blower is you always want more and your short block will only hold so much due to those wonderful powdered metal rods.

If this was my car this is how I would play it out. I would buy the new Trick Flow heads and cams and run those for the time being and still have cash left over to use on other usefull items...ie...suspension. Or continue to save the remaining money to build a stout short block to go with the heads and cams.

Very good info, I wish I had it to do over again. Like you and I said, you get use to the newly found power, and want more. At that point there really isnt anywhere to go, but buy a built short block, then with a blower you would probably have to upgrade your unit...ie P1SC to D1sc... to make the boost you want. Do you of anyone who will be building long blocks with your new heads and cams when they come out like?
