WOW that's a lot of replies. Some very interesting stuff mentioned.
So you guys know this cars gonna be a daily drive just made to look nice and run great. I'm not looking to have 800RWHP or anything like that. I'm just trying to give it a nice look and sounding good with a few extra rwhp. I'm only trying to bring it from the 260 stock HP up to about 350 really. I'm trying to keep the car fuel economic while still giving it that extra power I want.

[quote= 4000 for a bumper, fender, inner liner, and some paint. Way to much.[/QUOTE]
btw it's not just for those items and some paint. It's a full after market body kit, putting it all on and realigning all that damage calibrating the headlights and doing a COMPLETE repaint (not a brush up job like at a cheap rip off place).

With full boltons( tb/plenum/intake/lts/offroad midpipe/catback) your going to be around 320 at the crank with a tune. plenty of power for a daily driver IMO. If you do all that with some gears and a short throw shifter, you will have a really fun car to drive.

It's your money. What kinda body kit?
I had a stalker hood and bumper once when they first came out, and I hated it. I wish I would have put that money in performance. The ins payed for it after I hit a dear. But the painter said he could've fixed the stock stuff for 500 and they gave 1900 and he would have gave me the rest. The hood had a crack, grill and head light needed replaced. The car was only 4 months old so the paint was easy to match.
Btw I still think it's a little to much. But I'm a cheap skate penny pincher.

Well the 260 is really about 220 to the wheel stock. 350 at the motor will be 3k and 350 to the ground is very very expensive na (no nitrous or boost). . 5k for 340 at the wheel na maybe cheaper with the new trick flow heads.
.If you go nitrous, you could do that for 1200+. That's for all the support mods you would need with and a good tune. As long as it's full you could make 350 bhp or at the motor. If you want 350 at the wheels with nitrous figure another 1500 more in boltons.
My first supercharger set up was about 3500 after tune and it made 350rwhp at the wheel, and if I wanted more, all I had to was change the a pulley.
Really for what you get I thing compared to other routes The SC isn't that bad.

all he is really wanting is 265-270 WRHP.. a blower is not even relevant for his case.

He wasn't specific, or do I think he knows difference. He said 350 not 265-270rwhp, and 350bhp flyweel hp is more like 295 rwhp. Hello cams and all bolt ons.
With his mod list he's about to spends almost the same money as a cheap sc and might make 20 hp.

yea he said stock 260.. he also said he wants 350 or so.. so hes speaking in terms of factory rated power..not RWHP
and the only reason i put 265-270 is because he sounds like hes just looking for a fun car to drive, so full bolt ons should suit him just fine. Trust me, I know the conversions between crank and whp lol
i doubt he knows the difference between 350 to the crank and 350 to the wheels...
we must learn him

Oh piss he dosen't know, look at his mods list, the turbonator lol. Then he said he thought it would be ok because he didn't want 800 hp. He just wanted something in between, like a turbonator would make close to 400 hp. You'd be lucky if it didn't lose hp with it.
He probably thinks it puts out 260 to the wheel stock. Most people who are not that into the performance hobby are shocked when you tell them that.
I was talking to a guy at the track that had a new Zo6, He ask me how much horsepower my car had, after I beat him at a TnT. I told him 516 to the wheel (over a year ago). He said his put out 500. I asked him what it put out stock to the wheel, and what mods he has. He said none that's what it came with. I told that was a BHP rating, and was probably 430-450 to the wheel, but he acted like he was offended a little. I him told that it a was indusrty standard to rate motors at the crank. I would have thought a guy that was willing to pay for a Zo6 over a base vette would be a little more informed.
I know you know the difference
The op seems to be into the cool factor, and what's cooler than a supercharger whining?
But if just wants some more pick up at a reasonable price I'd go
Gears
CAI
Prochamber mid pipe
Mac catback
75mm plenum/throttlebody
Underdrive pulleys
Stewart water pump
Tuner with mail order tune (good enough for these mods).
Then maybe cams
Of course I think he needs all of it professionally installed.
