Question Rear ended... spend INS money on bodykit?

i was recently rear-ended and pushed into the tow hitch of a truck. damage to my rear bumper cover is negligible, right exhaust tip is bent, front bumper cover will need to be replaced, and the hood has received a bang about the size of a baseball on the front edge. i have not taken the covers off yet, and do not know if the bumpers cylinders are shot.

Her insurance company gave me a check of $1750 to fix damages with like-new replacement parts, but i was thinking of getting a bodykit and having shop install and paint.

does anyone have kit recommendations / pics for an '01 GT?

how much should i expect to pay for instillation / paint of kit?

here are some of the kits I was looking at...

1) http://cruizinconceptswholesale.com/...04STBDK&cat=35

2)http://www.bodykits.com/store/produc...at=1184&page=1

Are there any specific bodykit's that will be better quality / reputable

ugh the stalker one is hideous, go saleen or cobra 99/01 or 03/04 the cobra R kit doesn't look bad, a cowl hood is never a bad choice.

please do not get a riced out kit.

I personally like the stalker kit w/o the side scoops, stay stock GT scoops. Like the others said above cobra R is nice too, but if I had to pick, I would go with the stalker kit. Price would run you around $1200-$1500 for a middle class paint job in hawaii.

Saleen, cobra or roush is the only way to go. Any other body kit is just rice.
