Default 02 GT Owner

Hi everyone, Names Ray

Obviously im new here, somewhat new to the Mustang scene, and am glad to find a place with lots of helpful information. I am from N.E. Oklahoma, and i have a 2002 GT that i recently purchased with a blown engine. When i say blown i mean that when the rod went through the block it knocked the starter off of the transmission, and put a hole through both sides of the block. I know its not funny but atleast i wasnt the owner at the time that happened.

I work in a Salvage Yard / Car Lot / Repair Shop and have managed to get ahold of a 98 Mark VIII engine that im going to replace the SOHC with.

I also am replacing the brakes with those from a 03 Mach 1, and the shocks and struts from a 04 SVT Cobra. The front sway bar from the Cobra, rear from the Mach 1 aslo will find its way on my ride.

I would like to know if there are and where to find good places in or near Tulsa that can tune mustang computers so i can get mine tuned right after i get it running. If anyone here can help me with that id really appreciate it alot.

This is my ride. I will add more pics as i start to swap engines and other parts.

im not sure of any places around your way (try google searching), but im sure u can get a tuner from SCT and get a canned tune just until u can get it on the dyno and get it perfect.

lol I already have a s/c in line for it too but im gonna work on a second engine with forged lowers for that baby. Im getting it from a 02 jag s-type which has twin aftercoolers, the only thing ill have to get is the heat exchanger for the front end.
