Wing just came back from paint not even a couple hours ago.. It looks like a good match but i'm not really going to know until it's actually on the car...
The wing came back with a couple imperfections from the body shop... it has a dimple in it and it has what looks like a hairline crease in it.. So the wing isn't PERFECT but for how much i paid for the paintjob, i can't really complain... It's "good enough"
i dont think the imperfections showed up in the pics.. But here are some pics that im sure some of you will enjoy..
IF YOU LOOK AT THE FIRST PIC.. LOOK AT THE PART OF THE WING THAT BOLTS TO THE DECKLID. THAN LOOK DIRECTLY BELOW THAT AND YOU CAN SEE THE IMPERFECTIONS IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY!!

take it back and make them fix it....if youre not going to do that, then install it and get pics... wing laying on a towel is boring!!! get pics or take it back or something
If it was cheaply done then yeah it looks good for cheap. Go ahead and put it on only people really looking are going to notice, and it's probably not a show car right??

Well i paid $0 for the wing to get painted.. so i dont think im in any position to complain.. its almost perfect.. Saleen pieces just SUCK balls coming from the factory... Painter said there is nothing he can do (which i know it can be fixed but than it's probably gotta be sanded and painted and its just a lot of work i guess?) trust me i really want it fixed but i guess nothing is ever perfect (it's an 8 yr old car)
as for installing it, it's supposed to F'ing snow tomorrow and the next week.. So i refuse to put it on. Estimated dates for install will be March 14-23 since its spring break (along with install of wheels and everything else i have)

Put it on it looks fine
Well it's not that it was cheaply done... if i had to pay, it probably would have been around 200 give or take... its a quality shop that uses the same paint line as many other shops out there... its equivalent to any other good shop out there.. its not a maaco job lol (maaco prob doesnt even have laser red) It took my buddy a lot of time to actually match my color (since it fades)
I have heard of nightmares for paint and prep of saleen pieces, and this is a prime example of it.. If the paint doesnt match exactly, i'll ask my buddy to fix it for me. otherwise i'll live with it... +1 nobody is going to see unless they are scoping it out. It's just the fact that I know its there

i mistated what i meant and was thinking- if you paid next to nothing which you did you paid $0. I meant that it looks good, and yes if you paid like 150+ I would have taken it back, but for free hell yeah put it on
who cares if it snows tomorrow? put it on now and post pics.... i cant believe you posted a thread with pics of your wing laying on a towel...lame...go install it, dont be a girl

The towels bring out its elegance ...........................
TIM - i love the saleen wings on the 05+'s... or maybe its the cervini ducktail? i'm confused

the way saleen wings come from saleen is pathetic, it looks like they are sanded down with bricks. When i got one on my mach 1 my painter said it was one of the worse parts prep wise he has seen
