i would say it would last.

i did 15 passes on street tires and 8 with slicks all with a blower and stock axle. i know im on borrowed time though.
just dont send me the tow truck bill lol

i'd rather have them put in and never have to pull it apart again. Plus it sucks having your car towed home

my thoughts exactly. It's a toss of the coin and I'm not willing to take the risk. BTW I go to the track maybe twice a year, sometimes not at all. Sure there are some cars that have gone 10's with stock axles, they are lucky, he may not be, also what's to say that the 10 second car on stock axles didn't have enough power to go 9's with with a built rear, slicks and a nasty launch?

there is a saying that is true for most things, especially drag racing... 'you've got to pay to play'

Also, keep in mind I've never bragged about being able to drive my car good, but I did run a 13.3 with no hp bolt-ons (other than a k7h, h-pipe and welded in flows), only making 228 rwhp, full interior, during the summer, with a built rearend and slicks. I'm sure many people with the same/ similar setup have run as good or better, but how many have done in on the stock axles???

I've seen axles snap with 1.7-.8 60' times and I've gone a 1.60 on a Nitto with WAAAY less than 400hp, so if you ask me if a stock axles can snap with drag radials.... yes. Will it? As long as you are drag racing it and launching it like you should... eventually.

Check this out... this is my old setup (228hp + 100 shot) and you tell me if raping people out the hole isn't worth the rearend.
Me embarrising a FI GT with the same or more HP as me.

me totally fvcking up an 03 Cobra.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/m...shot_38879.htm

BTW this is one of my worse launches (2.0 60') b/c of 2 step issues.

Does that pic look like enough to snap a stock axles, with only a 2.0.

both were friends. The GT had a 10psi vortec, bassani mid length headers, mid, pipe, catback, 3.73's and regular boltons
the 03 cobra had full exhaust, cold air, tune and drag radials, and maybe some other stuff.

I need to get a retune for the 150 shot but I've run the 100 shot so far, no clean passes yet though.

Here's a friend that's probably making about the same hp and the GT that I smoked, he however, had a built rearend and a driver mod.

correct. This friend maks prolly about the same hp and the GT that I smoked... but he has a built rear and a driver mod.
I love the torque of the nitrous but a s/c would be nasty on my built motor.
