The ET Streets are bias ply, and do not have any more than the two grooves right down the center of the tire.

The ET Street Radials have additional grooves from the outside that feed some water for slightly better traction.

Both are good tires, but the Street Radials are probably a bit street friendlier. I ran 17K on the Street Radials and cut a 1.85 at the track on a stock suspension.

Also, I believe the ET Streets require tubes. If you are going to use these tires, don't run a radial tire up front. You will get alot of side to side movement on the rear of the car at the top end of the track.

i had no idea that they were that different when I bought them. I'm pretty sure the front tires are radials (crappy tires that came with the car so I havent really looked at them)..Will it be dangerous/hurt my times if I run them?

Shouldn't affect your times, but it will affect how your car handles. I can't say for sure it would be dangerous, but it will likely feel kind of floaty in the back end.

If you can spare the coin, get a set of skinny fronts and a bias ply tire to fit it.

You'll just have to get used to the rear end "swaying" back and fourth on the big end. It's pretty scary the first couple times it happens. You don't have to run the bias ply fronts if you get skinnies. Even a radial skinny will eliminate that all together.

But if it's traction you're after, you certainly picked the right tire. The ET Street will hook alot better than the radial. If you were wanting to drive them on the street, you've got yourself into quite a predicament.
