A 3.4l whipple on a 2v possibility???

engine is not complete yet. will be a mmr 900 with P+P heads/cams,mmr 7 qrt pan with racing pump ect.... not sure on doing it though. the way it is sounding from various members, will be too much blower for stock displacement. might just have to stick with the 1st plan and go for the 2.6KB instead. I never did realize how powerful the 3.4l is. supposedly the cobra guys who run this with the stock 3.5 s/c pulley and stock lower crank are pumping out a whopping 25 psi with this blower.

the most i have heard of is in the 500's. i think it was like 540rwhp/tq, but i do not know their supporting mods. im sure it was with p+p heads with a stage 2 cam or so.

well as far as psi, there was a guy who made 23 psi 1 time but was making less than he was at 19psi. after 14-15 psi, you are getting out of the s/c efficiency range. Its just too small of a blower for those who want 600+hp/tq.

I'm still saving to get one of these, and going to build up my engine with MMR900 RA, I'm targeting 500-550RWHP, and still keep my NX system with a 100hp shot, hopefully done by end of July or August.

Dont back out on us now!!! lol this build would be awesome if it can be done. I mean I dont think that this would be too wicked as the whipple kit on Evolution Performance's GT500, in full drag trim, is running a 9.43 quarter mile time, and only running 20psi of boost(which is stock sized pulley...3.5), they put down 822rwhp and 837rwtq(as shown on Evolution Performance's graph provided). Now that is on a 5.4L 4v engine with all the bells and whistles in their 1000hp package. You are going to be running a 4.6L 2v engine with not as good of flowing heads and probably not as much boost or timing as that car and it was probably the race tune that they had programmed in the car for racing it. So I think by no means are you going to have too much to play with. I mean ask Ox, he has 661rwhp and its not enough for him and wants more. Go for it man!!! Just make sure when you do the swap, buy some M/T drag radials to help even if you do have a problem with traction. lol

I agree with 2000az5.0gt, it is not going to be a very street friendly car. When I launch my car I am making around 400ftlbs (launching at 4,000rpms) of torque and it twisted the whole body of the car. I have full length subframes so no damage. My car is completely designed to stay straight no matter what so it's safe for me to run like that on the street but on a car that is not properly set up it will slam into another car.
The 3.4 will be a great blower for a track car.

He just needs to learn how to control it...lol I'd go for it and just get the 3.75 pulley and be making 17psi of boost so hes not running so much boost. But thats just me...if he doesnt do it, it should be done by someone...Ox...
