man , i say a blower will just blow his ass into another country. But for the money some slicks and a 100 shot tuned will just rape his 300rwhp weak ass. Because ur going to be putting down over 400rwtq and close to 350rwhp.. anyways be careful and watch out for them cops.

With a 100 shot the torque should be above 450 at the wheels. Do nitrous. You wont regret it. I have dynotune nitrous kit, its 400 bucks for a complete kit. Or HSW, also 400 for a complete kit. A guy here went 11.4 on the dynotune nitrous kit, pretty much bolt ons and nitrous. Then you have 1500 for misc parts and money to do other things.

blower or nitrous, otherwise you're getting raped. Unless you spend more in bolt ons + gears + suspension and go a steep ass gear than u would f/i then you might beat him but your car wouldn't be as fast as if u went nitrous or f/i.

Until we have times from said car, this thread is nothing more than "do this or do that".

SO far in this thread we've had a combination of "make more powah!!!!" and "kill teh importz".....

neither of which are going to help you...

once you figure out what the 240Z is capable of, we'll be able to tell you what it will take to beat said time/trap speed.

until then, give up on racing a 240z with 300rwhp from a roll....we cant even beat 220 hp srt-4s from a roll in stock form, and even with light mods, it's closer than we'd like to admit

I beat the 240sx by a half a car length with street tires so you gonna need to practice getting a perfect launch and perfect shifting. Once the blower starts spooling that 240sx will be right there with you so thats where nitrous will be your best friend. Either way , win or loose have fun and be careful.
built 3.8 won't make 274 on any day of the week....(without F/I)

Anyway OP: what motor is in this 240? did he swap sr20, or still running the KA?

If I had to guess it would be the KA. An SR20 can take 400hp all day on stock internals, so why stop at 300hp unless the guy is just running the stock turbo that gets shipped with that motor.

it's a KA.. but he got it bored out to a 2.4L and it's forged. I know I'd take him with nitrous.. maybe that's the route I'll go. has anyone tried mounting nitrous in the spare tire well?

My import knowledge is not very vast, but from what I understand the KA motor are torquey little sh!ts, especially with a turbo.
