how would 4.10s affect my top speed? they would help me get there faster wouldn't they...
you can only pull to 110~ in 4th with 4.10s. So you limit your races outside the track to 110. If your going to race a high end car like a z06 you better be able to pull to at least 140 in 4th..or else its kinda a pointless race lol.
ok first off, this thread is absolutely stupid. pointless from the beginning. you can do all the math you want but in real life things always turn out a little different. if were talking the track then yes you have a good chance of beating him, if you can out 60' him. if not then when he gets moving hes gonna walk you. if this race is from a roll, then ima say you aint gotta chance. and before all the hardcore ford guys come in and start talking trash, lets think about this. u have 4:10s which murder your top end which by the way isnt really a high point for the 2vs. the z06 is a top end monster. the top end pull is insane, and the power curve is nothing to shake a stick at. once it hits 100 the race is over for you my friend. the last time i raced one on the street, i got about a car jump on him from 30 (4:10s), and stayed with him until about 70-80, in which he started walking hard. and i can still pull 90 in 3rd, so it wasnt like i ran out of gear or anything. those cars are just roll race monsters.

they kill your top end, on the track they help you get out of the hole quicker and help your rpms rise faster

+1, not really even worth the gas to race a c6 z06 from a roll with his setup, unless he's got a lot of spray

i lined up with a new edge gt at the track yesterday with my f150... i ran a 15.1 and he ran a 17 something... track times dont really mean ****, unless the drivers are equal or semi equal...i know he had a faster car, but he cant drive
you need a built motor, and a decent amount of FI to beat a c6z
its not impossible by any means, but it isnt cheap either
ive beaten a c6 zo6 and ive got full bolt ons cams and 100shot of nitrous also have 4.10s. we races from a 40 roll and i was about a half of a car ahead of him. raced twice with the same out come
