i knew someone would take what i said out of text and make up some BS. i didnt say gears dont help, i said they dont help you in a high speed roll race. yes any idiot knows that gears help at the track or from redlight to redlight. with 4:10s your going to run out of gear too quick and that z06 will walk hard and fast.

It's not that gears don't help, but for instance, the Z06 doesn't have a 1:1 gear in the transmission (nor do I)

3rd gear is 1.3:1 and 4th is 1.1:1

So in 3rd gear, with 3.55's, and with their 3.42's, I get up to ~115, and 4th goes all the way to 140mph

With 4:10's. youd have to be racing in 5th gear, which in a 5spd, isn't the best idea (especially with a blower), say hello to preignition/detonation
