If 4.10s were the only gear to have then why are so many people with supercharged cars swapping them out for 3.73s and 3.55s? It might just be that when you get above 400 rwhp with them you have very little traction on the street.

Also the idea that you get just as good of gas mileage with 3.73s and 4.10s as you do 3.27 is just flat wrong. That may be true in the city when all you have to do is to drive in the next higher gear, but I check my gas mileage often. I lost 2 mpg when the 3.73s were installed. That was a 9% decrease. 4.10 would have been lower. That might not be a problem for someone who only drives 5000 mile per year, but for someone that drive 25,000 miles per year if could be a serious consideration.

Not everyone is into drag racing. Some people like the twisties. Some just want a decent street car. If we're going to make a sticky about gears, it should contain the facts not the BS.
Thank you, you have proven my point exactly. lol

If you would stop wanting to argue and just read my post you would know that my point is that there are too many opinions. For a drag car, maybe i am right, and for a ricer roll racer mabe you are right. Are you getting it now? lol

No, he thinks you are calling him a ricer. And he is dwelling on that fact and trying to rub it in your face. Rather immature if you ask me
