Default Side Scoop Repair

Hey guys, I have a 2004 GT convertible that had it's side scoops ripped off in the car wash. Considering the random ease of removal, and how dirty they are, I'm guessing some shady body shop reused the disposable friction clips that hold them in place.

I've already bought the new friction clips. What kind of epoxy/adhesive should I use to repair the mounting points? Only one is damaged on one scoop, three on the other. They aren't falling off, just loose.

FYI There are six clips total.

I forgot to clarify, there are six clips per scoop.

+1 on jb weld. I used it to repair the mounting tabs on my hood scoop the other day and it worked like a charm

Recommend, don't be ghetto, but a prepared one off of american muscle because after about 30min of drive time out will fly off and possibly cause more damage. I learned the hard way with my hood scoop

That's sketchy. I wouldn't expect epoxy to bond with a painted surface well at all.

These failed because the clips were used. In addition to that, there is supposed to be molding tape providing additional reinforcement. Save for residue on one of the scoops, there was no tape.

The epoxy I use is good, I'm a machinist, I get high grade materials, also, sanding down the surface adds enough grip.
