Default CMS cams

im rebuilding a 2000gt motor and need some cams to buy. im going with stage 2 CMS cams. couple questions: could i still run them with out a tune?(would it still run fine w/o one) and would i need to notch my pistons?

i was looking at comp stage 2 cams and it requires notching. all all stage two cams that way or just those. and what was the other good cam company tech something. or something like that. im blanking out on the other good cam company.
thanks guys.

Hi-Tech cams are what you're thinking of.

Go with Cushman. Jim is a great guy. Extremely helpful. I just bought a set of custom grounds from him.

Shoot him a PM. Stage 2.5 Blower cams don't require the pistons to be notched, not sure about the ones you are looking at though.

Those cams do not need notched pistons. You will need a tune or your going to have idle problems.

I have the stage 3 blower cams and didn't need to notch my pistons.
