I bought my '96 GT for $3,000. It wasn't in perfect condition but a little love and some elbow grease fix it right up.

Hell to the yea!

-Tranny T-45 are sh*t. Run through each gear hard before you buy.
-Clutch if manual.
-Your intake manifold WILL crack sooner than later if not been replaced already. It seems to inevitable.

Just off the top of my head for now.
