I would have dropped a 5.4 cobra engine into the rx7. I really hate when people drop GM crap in a Ford product/Ford owned product.

When my father kicks the can, I am going to take his 63 spilt window vette and drop a 5.4 cobra engine in it to **** off all the chevy boys.

The cobra engine would not even come close to fitting. The 5.4 weighs more and has a bigger footprint than the pushrod 6.0. Not to mention makes much less power

Also, this car has nothing at all to do with ford. Ford didn't own mazda in 93. It does have ford paint on it though.

Get your facts straight..... Ford became majority owner of Mazda during the 1980s. And actually started working with Mazda in 1960's. I know, I own lots of stock in Ford and receive the annual reports

Also, in regards to the engine. yea.... the 5.4 cobra is bigger, but not ordinary. plus, I would think the power potential with a blower swap would spank all over that LS2 engine. Not dissing the car, but just hate to see GM crap where it doesn't belong.

Yea, me and Evan were just talking about your car *which if I do remember, you had bought before leaving the forums* and teh swap you were 'going to/were already doing.

Looks awesome.

I'm actually surprised that you spent as much as you did. A friend of mine did a LS1 swap in a '89? maybe (whatever the anniversary is) Rx-7 and spent a lot less....but, it was a LS1 and he didn't buy top of the line stuff either..

Looks bad *** though, and I don't even like Rx-7's really.

Gonna just stop by , taunt, and then leave? or maybe stick around the forums this time?
That sounds just like me. I hate my Mustang right now.... Just call me Cybil.

They had limited partnership, ford didn't have controlling interest till the late 90's or something. Bottom line is ford had nothing to do with the rx7. Thus a ford engine in it is no better than a chevy engine.

Geez, with the ricer arguements, but with a blower...? Really? What makes you think I don't have plans for a blower already? (Actually I was thinking twins, but you get the point) You can put a blower on anything. Guy that used to go to the track with me built a rear mount turbo (less than 8lb's of boost), he's making 650rwhp with a head/cam ls1.
