well, most polished aluminum finish wheels come with a "varnish" or coating from what I've seen.

I wouldn't suggest polishing them yourself, because you'll strip the coating, and then I'm sure yeah, It'd be a bitch to get them clean.

polished look better? haha but really i have no idea. In person you can tell right away the difference. All i can say is Chrome is more smooth looking like a mirror but polished is more brushed like everyone says but not a true brushed look. i guess you could say it's lightly textured. Polished are also more of a Silver color. You can't really tell in the pictures though. Its hard to explain. you have to see them in person. if you want i can get some close up shots for you.

here is the closets picture i have of them so far. I can get close if you want me to, but you'll have to wait till tomorrow night.
this still look like chrome in this picture but again, in person they are pretty different then chrome.
Im happy with my purchase.

word.

But if you want something different why look at Bullitt's?

My hunt for new wheels continues on.
chrome wheels look horrible when they are dirty. after washing if just a little water dries on them they get these nasty water marks too.

btw I wouldnt trade my chrome for polished.

Chrome look the best.

If you have salt/sand in the winter months, you've got to take the chrome rims off your car every year or they will be ****.

No joke. If I were to ever have another set of polished wheels they would be powdercoated clear for sure. I had a set on my F-150 when I was 16. The previous owner was a big fan of the tire foam and the overspray had actually stained the wheels and it looked horrible.

You can't beat Chrome IMO especially in ease of cleaning.

Because I'm a poh muhfawka and can't afford anything outside of the usual Mustang wheels. That's why I'm trying to look for a more "unique" finish. I was looking into some Boyd Coddington wheels, but I'd have to spend a lifetime just trying to save up for them
