The underglow CAN be pulled off depending on how you do it. The mod as a whole got killed because retards started to put it on there stock cars with a grocery cart handle wing.
This is exactly right. I have no problem with individuals who wish to make fast civic's, supra's etc. It's not my thing, but I respect people's opinions and realize that it is pretty easy to make a car like that extremely fast because of its light weight.
My problem is people who have absolutely no engine modifications but still feel the need to install a huge exhaust, have a crazy paint job, full neon's and a wing big enough to put on a space shuttle. Then you open the hood and its bone stock...I just don't get it. When you do your car up like that you are just asking for people to race you. I think you should back that up. That is why I don't bother with exterior modifications on my car. I would feel fake since it is basically bone stock under the hood.

yes you can make a civic fast but it takes a lot more work. slap a $3500 turbo kit on a honda and your running MAYBE low 14's.

i have buddies with turbo hondas and turbo foci and i beat them or keep up with them and my car is stock.

Personally I would rather have a Turbo Integra GSR... With oh I dunno 5k? I would be stomping fools in their GT that think their 2v 4.6 is something special.
The funny thing about the Mustang community that I have noticed is generaly they talk SO much crap about anything with less than a 4.6 in it; In all actuality the Mustang is the Ricer of the domestic world. Hell a new 4 banger will damn near beat a New edge GT stock for stock it seems. Like it or not, the Japs got it right.

first of all, legit '$3500 turbo kits' dont exist in the performance world. You're lucky to be out the door for parts alone at (i'm lowballing) $7k? That including a new tubular front suspension to fit all the lovely pipping... Also, you slap a turbo on a 2V GT without a built motor and you'll likely splay your powdered metal rods all over the interstate, so probably add another $3k to that for a forged shortblock...
and i couldnt agree with HOSS more.... mustang cats are cocky as hell, when in reality we're the ones playing severe catch-up in terms of performance, horsepower and racing...
I wish I had pictures too, but I had neons in my old 2000 f150. Interior kit, not underbody. Black on Black interior with blue lighting under the seats. looked real sick and tastefully done. Now you look at half the new cars on the market and they have similar features available from the factory marketed as "ambient lighting"...
but everyone here with minor boltons and gears can call the rice card as much as you want. Because while you're laughing at some dude with Neons, every other domestic performance community is laughing at you and your 13.8 quarter miles....so laugh it up boys, laugh it up....
People and setup make a car rice. My 30 Model A that was Crimson Yellow open fender hotrod was far from rice and it had yellow neons and yellow LED's that back lit the mirrors stainless firewall. This was a night time car show thing. The only time the neons were on was at night during shows and cruising in a pack of 50 pre 1972 Hotrods and Muscle cars.
