- the 4.6 is probably the smallest displacement V8 being used in mass production.
- 2V's especially have a hard time making power N/A. throw a cam and ported heads on a LSX or HEMI....they're putting out NA what low boost mustangs put out...
- full bolton/geared stangs often barely scrape 12's. again, we all know what full bolton LSX's do to us NA vs NA
- the most popular and mass produced version of the mustang is the drastically underpowered V6. You wanna talk about 'looking fast and not having the motor to back it up'....exhibit A...
- other than the cobras (functional) and Mach 1s (functional), v6's and GT's have pretty much the DEFINITION of rice tacked onto our hoods. A non-functional hoodscoop. Complimented by the non-functional 'brake cooling' side scoops. Almost as good as a giant wing on a civic....you wanna see a mean mustang? Black, rear spoiler delete, bullitt side scoops, cobra hood....the all buisiness look puts more fear into people than our hood scoops do....
i could go on but im gettin tired....im sure you can think of more.....
oh yeah, everyone else is pretty much a pushrod engine, we're overhead cam motors (influenced greatly from our japanese friends) Also the 3V 4.6s are basically just a V8 with Fords version of VTEC....
a select few cars neons look good... are neons ricey? yes...

TRADE MY Mach 1 HOOD + scoop set up for easy GT install (attached, no intake system necessary, unless you want it) for a COWL hood and maybe STOCK + CASH (but probably not). The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte
on the right car, you can pull it off.. but if you just throw neons on a stock appearing car (or worse, a stock appearing car with a big-a$$ wing on it), then it just doesn't look right
2vs need boost to make any kind of real power! sorry but its the truth. with the right amount of $$$ they can be pretty stout, but it absolutely needs FI

WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON!?!
Meh, so what. Mustangs have small engines.. We have to do with what we're givin Big diff between factory rice and real rice though. Hell most cars and trucks now have some kind of non functional spoiler/scoop. People want to look fast that's all

i still disagree with the mustang being rice, as for the engines
Chevy has dohc v8, north star, the dohc zr1 vette
Chrysler, the small v8 in their truck, suv, and jeeps
ford 427 cammer engine back in the muscle car days, highly doubt that that engine was influenced by out jap friends.
