Default anyone run a 335/35-17 hoosier?

I think for my next street tires I'm going to go with either M/T drag radials or Hoosier. As for the 335 Hoosiers how do they fit on a 10.5" wheel and is there any clearance issues. One other thing is on this site https://www.hoosiertire.com/Drtire.htm it shows they are .3" taller than the 315's but the circumference is smaller than the 315, which make no sense.

okay I just did the math. and the 315's have a circumference of 81.6, when divided by pi (3.14159265) is diameter of 25.97xx", the 335's are 81.4 which is a diameter of 25.91xx", how in the world do they come up with their measurements?

I was running the 335's on Widened 03 Cobra's, never once tried on 10.5's, that's just way small.

The 335's were a bit of a stretch on the 13's (just barely, like a 245 on a 9" versus a 255 or a 275)

They look fine, but I'd prefer a 345 instead.

I don't think they'll fit on a 10.5" without a ton of bulge, and I don't know how well they'll work for a drag radial.

I don't even know that they'd fit if you took the quad shocks off (IDK what suspension you's runnin yo')

yeah, I don't have my quads any more.

has anyone used both M/T and Hoosier, if so which is better as far as dry traction?

lateral or just drag wise?

Mickeys for Drag, I've driven my dad's Z06 with MT's on it.

Hoosier's for Lateral grip, which is all I use on my car.

I'd say go with the MT's, hoosier's have mainly involved in road racing from what I know of, and Mickeys are the name in drag Racing.

tisk tisk, I can't believe you'd ask...
I was talking about the Hoosier DOT Drag Radials

basically this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-315...171|240%3A1318

well 335/35/17 has a tiny sidewall for a drag radial, I thought you ran 15's with radials on them?

Oh, and 17 + (2 x 335mm)/(~24mm/inch) = 26.7" which should be the exact height of the tire/wheel combo

example, 335/35/17's with Khumo's
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...um%3D335WR7EXS

26.2" height

335/35/17's with Khumo "drag" radials
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...um%3D335WR7EXS

26" height

The smaller the width of the wheel, the larger the diameter will be (due to a few reasons)

my 15's have slicks, I may switch to a radial on them as well b/c I hate the sway on the big end. I'd like a little more sidewall on the 17's but I think with either tire it should hook up, I was mainly trying to squeeze ever little bit I could out the sidewall so I could try to lower my RPMs through the traps. As it is I'm trapping at like 6600 RPMs on my 315/35 and my car makes peak power at 6k so it's killing my MPH I think.

yeah I know how the aspect ratios of a tire works (that sounds like I'm being a smart ass... but I'm not), but what Hossier says on their site doesn't make sense and the eBay auction has them listed at an even shorter diameter. My Nittos are around 25.5" diameter, I just would like to get as close to 26, or more if possible.

I'd try this sucker if you're just trying to maximize the sidewall.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...m%3D94WR7EV710

it's a 295/40/17, and so it'll still fit well on the wheel, and will have more sidewall than the 335 will.

and has a 26.1" height
