Default 31 spline question

What all has to be swapped out for a 31 spline axle. Differential, yoke?

Differential, axle shafts and of course your diff fluid. While your in there you might as well change the gears too.

If you have anti-lock brakes, you might also consider buying some new ABS rings to go with the new axles. Sometimes when you press the old ones off/on they can break. They are like $22 or so from www.latemodelrestoration.com. If you get Moser 31 spline axles, make sure you get the ones with the ABS adapters.

i believe i am getting ford racing 31 spline axles (299.99), and no 4.10's for me, i like the 3.73's, i love those on a stang. Will i still need those abs adaptors then? or just the rings

While you are at it, put in some ARP or Moroso extended hardended studs in the axles. Thats if you are ever planning on running slicks at most tracks

Not sure if you need adapters on the Ford Racing axles. I would definately ask your salesman when you order them.
