Well i would say if you wanna do stuff to it and make it a fast car, id get the mach. The 99/01 cobra IRS sucks from what ive heard. Also, if you get a 5 speed mach, you get the forged crank if im not mistaken. So id go with a 5 speed mach. Looks great and all you gotta do is put a nice set of black wheels on them and the wide hood stripe and i think that is the sexiest car on earth...next to an 03/04 cobra of course. But definitly the mach over the cobra. Thats next on my list when i sell my car.

there are cobra guys schooling guys at the strip with the irs. if setup right, and driven right it should more than fulfill most peoples needs.

Yea, but the STOCK irs in the early cobras(not the 03/04 cobras) are not good. The ones in the termies are ok but not the 99/01 cobra irs. You need to do the usual irs upgrades including irs brace, bushing upgrades, and all that stuff before they will be reliable and work well. Thats why the time-tested SRA gets my vote. Not much to go wrong there...lot less moving parts and easier to work on. Machs are more visually appealing to me as well. Even though the bumpers and a lot of other things are the same as a GT, there are more visual cues to tell you its a mach than the cobra has.

I much prefer the shaker hood over anything on the Cobra or just about any other Mustang. Nothing against the Cobra. Just my preference. Either way, two sharp looking cars.

They both look good, but i vote Mach 1. I want to get both then I'll have all three in Screaming Yellow. That way the Boys cant fight over who gets which one.
