QFT. The camero responds MUCH better (if you're really looking for bolt on HP). I finally made the decision to keep my car and blow it (now that it's paid off). To each his own of course.

Like many others have said here, the differences aren't great enough to really merit a new car unless it's personal. Having said that, the S197 does have many more supercharger choices than the New Edge. For example, I believe whipple has a 3 Valve application whereas they do not make blowers for 2 Valves. Why not just get an 03/04 Cobra and be ahead of the pack on both ends?

=)

New Edge CAI gains - 7hp
S197 CAI Gains without tune - 7-10 hp
S197 CAI + Tune gains = up to 20 hp and 10tq
my 2002 gained 12whp on the chassis dyno @ school when i threw on the FIPK.

Thanks guys for the help. I looked at a 2005 Mustang Gt and absolutely loved the interior. Didn't get to drive it but will hopefully soon. After reading your responses and all is correct about there not being a big difference I probably will stick with what I have. Thanks guys!

Id consider 320RWHP a pretty big damn difference when compared to 270RWHP.. even after the weight factored in your still out ahead with the s197. You get a better all around car IMO. The interior space alone is kick ass.

How about the V6 2005-2009 Stangs? How do they fair against the 1999-2004 GTs? I just thought about getting a 2005+ V6. I mean engine and performance how do they compare?

The 4.0's are the 3.8's done 20x better , other then that your GT will still smoke them and be better in everyday. They are still great cars but cant compare to your 4.6, Check out a Mach 1 or 99-01 cobra if you want more power.

Woah, easy there. You might get some dumbass 2005-2009 sixxer owner saying that they can smoke New Edge GT's with just a CAI/tune.

3vs response way better to mods....cai, tune, and exhaust and your putting down 305rwhp with a 3v....compared to those same mods and you will be lucky to but down ~250rwhp...

plus the interior is better, the transmission is hydraulic clutch, the suspension is much better, dont get me wrong i love new edges but it is based on a 1970 platform

but the exhuast does sound better on the new edges.

Are you really putting down 340 rwhp with just the mods in your sig? 105 mph also seems a little slow for that kind of horsepower.

Don't get me wrong! I'm not calling you out. I'm just curious really.
