Default track video

I went to the track last night after not driving my car for months and not going to the track since January, this was a new track to me, so needless to say I was way off my mark! A friend told me about how sticky the track is, blah blah blah. So I line up, rev it to 4000 and let it rip, blew the tires off (2.0 60', my previous best on Nittos was a 1.60, so you can imagine I wasn't happy)and broke my gas pedal! That run was a 13.0 @ 110mph. I borrowed some electrical tape and taped the pedal back on. I had to take it easy on the rest of the runs b/c I didn't want to drive the 2 hr. ride home without a gas pedal! The next one I launch it soft and went a 12.8 @ 110mph(.4 off my previous best). I attempted to spray and annihilated the tires again with a 2.0, ran a 12.26 @ 119.68 (the window switch was set to 6400 and the spray cut off before the traps, this could have been my best run if not for that!). My mph was off but ET was way off of where it should be. Followed it with:

(I raised the window switch to 6800 but never trapped higher than my 1st N2O run)
1.88 60'
11.86 @ 118.87

1.83 60'
11.92 @ 117.12

it's late and I'm tired. I'll make a video and post it up tomorrow. I didn't get all the runs recorded (b/c my camera man was also racing) but I have all the slips (albeit nothing to brag about).
The DA was just over 2000'

out of curiosity I corrected the #'s to see what it would be with better weather...
Based on:
Temp: 86°
Humidity: 54%
Track Altitude: 18 feet
Pressure: 29.95 in.

Density Altitude = 2003 feet ET MPH
Uncorrected 12.86 @ 110.41 (N/A)
Corrected 12.57 @ 112.89 (N/A)

Based on:
Temp: 86°
Humidity: 54%
Track Altitude: 18 feet
Pressure: 29.95 in.

Density Altitude = 2003 feet ET MPH
Uncorrected 11.86 @ 118.87 (100 shot)
Corrected 11.59 @ 121.54 (100 shot)

I guess not too bad for having so much rust and being on my street tires....

not bad at all man. 1.8 60' on street tires?? Thats pretty impressive. Having a mid 12 sec NA 2V stang is even better.

Either way you got out there . You of all people know with some more trips to the track what your car is capable of.

What is your car capable of running? Both N/A and giggle gas?

I'd say with the right wheels, tires, DA, and launch it should go high 11's - low 12 NA and 11.2-.3 on a 100 shot and hopefully some 10.8's on a bigger shot. This is all just speculation though. Any 1%ers have any guesses?

Mike, I just watched the vid and see a couple of things. First I saw you spin the tires hard in the water at least once. This just slings water up in the fender well that can drip down on the tires as you stage. Just roll through is all that's necessary. Second those Sh!tto's need a good 5-8 second burn to get proper heat in them. Besides they have no business on a car with the potential of yours.
