Think anyone would like to buy any of the stock parts off of the mkviii? anything worthwhile? would boring it .30over and doing a stroker kit make a difference on the vortec idea?

Mark 8 parts normally arent worth crap, ive been trying to sell an intake now for over a year, hell ive tryed to give it away and no body wants it. just wondering what did you pay for the engine from the mark???? normally they can be found for pretty cheap (200-500)

$450 for it. on my way to pick it up in 4hrs. gettin pretty excited about the build. still alot of debating. whether to pay the money to get it bored .30 or leave it and just forge it at the reg. bore. super or not super. etc. decisions decisions.

.30 is the really the max you want to go on these modular blocks. Personally I'm not going to go over .20 but that's me. I wouldn't bother with the stroker kit. The longer stroke is going to give you a ridiculous piston speed at redline and put a lot of stress on your rods.
