Default Exhaust

hey guys i have a question regarding whether an exhaust off of an '01 4.6L will bolt on to my '97 4.6L, thanks

i think everything will work except the tailpipes hangers. you will have to weld on the correct ones. get more imput because im not 100%

I wouldn't know... It would help if the exhaust from the newer gt were longer than the 97 gt cuz then you would just cut i guess...

Then why would you post?

OP, the hangers are in a different location and hangs about an inch lower at the bumper, but wire coathangers will work until you can get to an exhaust shop that can line everything up for a few bucks....

Or a exhaust hanging kit from an auto parts store... in case you don't have coat hangers

Gee, I hadn't thought of that....




My idea (which came from recent experience) was based on the OP being able to get to a muffler shop after the instal was completed.

When I did my solid swap, my IRS went to a 98 GT. New hangers needed to be welded on and it seemed kinda....I dunno.....retarded....to spend $ on new hangers when they would be useless afterward, especially considering the pipes themselves needed to be cut and re-welded to get them positioned correctly.

Pardon me for avoiding redundancy....
