I wouldn't be ashamed of driving a clean/good condition LT1 F-Body at all.

While they're obviously the sworn enemies of Mustangs, I think a 6-sp one would be fun to drive when I didn't feel like taking the Mustang out.

I don't shop around for them, but they ought to be about dirt cheap considering the body style runs all the way back to '93. I guess the real challenge would be finding one worth owning that you're not going to have moron owners trying to overcharge you for.

my buddys bolt on lt1 camaro ran a 12.9...and it was an auto

and +1 on finding a nice condition one....why not look into an LS1, they can be had for 6-7ish if you look hard enough

no offense to the T/A owners or lovers, but i think they are butt ugly, ive seen worse cars but id rather go slower in my mustang than faster in the ugly, plus you have the options to change the mustang a lot of ways. Not so much with the T/A, and with the T/A your stuck with the ghetto gigantic spoiler that couldnt make up its mind on how many times it wanted to be attached to the car...i will say they are faster, but honestly id rather impress people with my 12 second mustang than my 12 second T/A i mean as we have pointed out its not that hard to make them go fast.

The whole point of modding is taking something and making it perform better.

Its a lot cooler to have a mustang running 12s than a ls1 since they pretty much are there out of the box.

It sucks sometimes but its always nice to be able to put the hammer down on the camaros and vettes cause they always think theyre in a rocket ship.

I love picking on the guys with vettes...they dont know whats coming when they mess with me.

mustang looks and sounds better...mine was even with my buddies 6spd. and then when i got a few mods i beat him pretty easily.

also raced a bolt on lt1 and really saw no advantage

The only thing that needs too look good on an fbody is the tail lights. Thats all most people will see anyways. I think GM did a fine job on those.
