Well ex. of what I mean... The V-spec as a really long first gear... unless you're running a really sort finally gear (4.30) you're going to have troubles trying to launch the car. He also needs to evaluate what type of driving he likes to do (street, strip, track) ... and tailor his choices from there.

Further more... I just trying to make sure people don't just get chubbies for the V-spec just because what it is. Even though it's not the right transmission for there application.

I actually sat down one night and mapped out like 5 different transmissions, with 3 different final gear drives just to see where I would be at in each gear with each setup.
Well that's a shame lol, coulda gone here instead...

just to kind of fill everyone in, there are 2 gear ratio choices one for v-spec and the other for the cobra.

2.66 1st, 1.78 2nd, 1.30 3rd, 1.00 4th, .80 5th; .62 6th

weird just looked at the paladinmicro site...seems that this magnum tranny has a cross between the cobra t-56 and the v-spec? meaning closer ratio 1-4 and steep 6th?

i imagine custom ratios would be putting the cost beyond what i consider resonable for right now, as it is 3200 is pushing it.
