I will have to disagree 110%. Before the Mustang, I had a 2005 Ion Redline. (same as the Cobalt SS/SC.) Never had a single problem with the car, except for the Slave CYL in the trans going out. (Consequently happened the same day the motor mounts were put in, so I suspect that it was the root of the problem, but fixed for free under waranty). Car had 2.7 pully, (around 18lbs of boost of so) 6olb injectors, custom tune, Cobra HE, larger intercooler reservoir, Long tube header/3" downpipe, B&M Shifter. I absolutly know from a roll the ION would rape the **** out of my Mustang. From dynos with same mods, tune, it was around 260-270HP to the wheels. I was only able to get it down to low 14's with me driving, (I suck) but a friend was able to run a 13.7 with it Hadabout $800 dollars total in all the mods. Thats not to shaby, if the car was geared correctly it would have been much faster. First gear was completly and uterly useless. It was a fun car to drive, it just didnt sound like my Mustang does, and the top didnt go down! Had no issues with the car though for the 15,000 beat the **** out of it miles I had it!
I don't want to sound like a jerk here, so please forgive me if I do. But holy freaking **** man. How in the hell could you only manage low 14's out of it?
Stock they do that, I've seen it *well, within .2-.3* 270's to the wheels, even a 2.2 60' ought to be putting up mid to low 13's

****y track conditions mostly I think. My ol man had a 1999 TA there with a **** load of mods and couldnt break 14's the three times we went there. Hell I remember breaking the tires loose on the 2-3 shift horribly on the track. Plus 270hp in a FWD car does not equate to the times you mentioned, not without slicks, and the fear of snapping axles!
