Same here. After two years I couldn't take the drone anymore. The drone occurs on Flowmaster 40s between 1800-2200 rpm. Basically interstate speed with stock gears. It is a deep resonating sound that just beats on your eardrums. You won't really get the full affect unless you take long trips.

I'm glad you like the sound perhaps your setup won't drone like mine did.

A GEAR WILL HELP REDUCE THE DRONE BY USING A HIGHER RPM!

ALSO, LONG TUBE HEADERS MIGHT HELP OUT AS WELL.

Mine don't drone too bad but my exhaust is bone stock except for the spliced in mufflers. Sounds good and I'd hate to replace them for something I'm less happy with.

I have an o/r x pipe and it sounds just fine with that. Not too much drone to be unbareable. Thinking about dynomax bullets or single chamber flowmasters to make it louder.

I love the way flows sound with o/r h pipes. I am thinking about going that route but I cant get past the smelly exhaust. Last time I had a o/r pipe on it, I always smelled like gas and the smell would come into the car if the windows were down at a stop. Probably worse for me because the exhaust is right under the doors.
