I know this is a mustang forum but it is a mod engine, i believe. does anymore know so more inside info on that engine? so far i found that it is a 6.2l v8, 2v,aluminum sohc heads, has variable valve timing, 2 plugs per cylinder, slayed valve design, iron block w/ 4 bolt mains. sounds like one tough 'mod engine that isnt handicapped by having a small displacement.

sounds like a winner! lets see if they can slap one in stang and put some 4v heads and a blower! it will have them gm boys crying again
The 4.015" bore takes away the main disadvantage of our 2v motor which is valve size. It's supposed to put down 400 bhp/400 btq. I thought it was interesting that it has two spark plugs per cylinder and that Roush is already testing it.
Give a block to trickflow so they can start working on the heads for this one already. lol But seriously sounds like an awesome engine. Cant wait to see one come out and be put in a mustang. I heard that this motor may go into a boss mustang offering or a mach one or some other special edition mustang.

That would probably be retarded... the whole idea is that the new 2v are supposed to match GM performance. Given the valve size it might be possible to see 400+ cfm out of these 2v heads. Id take a 2v or a 4v (design wise) any day.

TRADE MY Mach 1 HOOD + scoop set up for easy GT install (attached, no intake system necessary, unless you want it) for a COWL hood and maybe STOCK + CASH (but probably not). The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte
6.2 litre with an Iron block and 4V heads would be HEAVY as hell going in a GT....
am I wrong?
While I love large displacement engines, if Ford can price the 5.0 making 400ish HP in the GT for under 32K stripped down, I think it'll be a winner.
I'd much rather pay less for a motor that's not maxed out near its potential and have money to play with the rest of the car, or modify the engine, than have the prices go up *including used prices as the years go by* for a motor that's 'on par' with GMs
