I am going to say the same thing as some others, keep the pipe, get new mufflers. It is what I did. I had lm1's, then got a o/r h. I can safely say that mine was louder than yours because I have never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. I switched to lm2's and it is much better, still sounds mean as s*** but I don't have to crank my radio all the way up to hear it, i only have to go 3/4 of the way lol. I <3 SLP!

If you want to quiet down your car, why would you stay with an off road mid pipe? Your car is loud not because of the mufflers, but because all four cat's are gone. I'm pretty sure any cat-back with an O/R mid-pipe is going to sound batsh*t loud compared to a catted mid-pipe/cat-back exhaust combo.
You can listen to a bunch of opinions, or listen to fact. If the O/R X is too loud, add cats to it (or get a catted mid-pipe).
