Welcome to the forums! What part if MI are you from?

Best bang for the buck is going to be nitrous...period!

I'd start with exhaust, gears, and a tune first though.

I live in Tecumseh. I was going to start with exhaust, what about gears? I see they are not exspensive at all, are they worth it?

supercharger=$3-6000. or lowering springs, shocks struts, subframe connectors, anti-sway bars, full-exhaust, cold air intake, gears (3.73. or 4.10 ftw).

i was in the same boat in december when bought my first mustang, also an 04 gt. i got slp catted x pipe, slp loud mouth 1 cat back, k&n intake, throttle body and upper plenum, steedaunder drive pullies (still not installed, lol), diablosport predator tuner (am getting the trinity or the sct touch screen one in the spring) and a few other things for around 2500ish...which leave money for gears as well. also i ended up buying new wheels/tires later on for another 1500. next upgrades are the new tuner (selling the old one), slp long tubes, anda good dyno tune.

may i ask what kind of cars you have owned before? i come from owning importsand a miata before my stang...only thing i miss is the handling of the miata which was stellar

and then after i do the dyno tune, im going to start working on suspension...essentially going with maximum motorsport's road and track pack plus a roll cage. my car is going to be a road course typecar eventually.

which brings another good question, what is your goal with the car? drag car? autocross? all around?
