Default Freshly Detailed 96 Mustang GT.

Well, last time I posted up pics, I got pwned for my lack of care on my car. This time I pulled out all the stops. I went bumper to bumper with a DA buffer and 3m polishing compound, then finished it off with Meguires NXT wax. I couldn't get the rest of it, like the splash shields and windows because I am running out of light and there is thunder in the distance...

My camera really can't pick up how good this thing looks (Or maybe it's my photography skills that suck), but here are some pictures of it.

The paint is as smooth as glass on it now. When I started, even after washing it, I could feel grime on the paint.

Looks good, especially considering it's an almost 15 yr old car

lol, thanks. That is about as good as it's gonna get without being repainted. I am shocked at how well it came out being as old as it is and the mileage that it has. It will never be a show car, but she can still turn a head or two.

The interior is a work in progress, I think I can get the seats and carpets cleaner still. I will take my steam cleaner out next time.

i just cleaned the interior in my firebird. i used mean green and a scrub brush on the hard plastic panels and a Bissel carpet cleaner and woolite with oxyclean and hit the seats. my seats were stained pretty bad with coffee and 95% of it came out, the floor is spot less now too. not to mention that almost all of the smoke and coffee smell is gone now.

Wow! looks much better than b4, especially the interior. The NXT wax's are one of the better OTC wax's. Not to sway you, but check out Obsessive Detail( Justin, he's a sponsor) when you do your next detail. I bought DoDo Juice(Orange crush) from him and the results were 10X better than the NXT wax I had been using. BTW, I love those wingless GTS's or whatever they're called in 96.
