100 bones is a good deal, just buy them and wait to install them till you have lowers. If you're not beating up on your car, and you install them now, you'll be fine.

i would only pay $20 more for new ones in a box tho. other problem is i do drive my car pretty hard. i read all of jazzers post and it kinda scared me to have only the uppers... i might just spend the money elsewhere. how much hp will this give me?

What kind of a deal is $20 less. I would go with lowers and not even bother with uppers as mentioned before

yea i appreciate it guys.. he also wants to sell me a lightning MAF and cone filter. whats a good bargain on that?

lightning maf is about $180 or so. So theres the price he probably paid for it. So $100 might be right on depending on if it was used or whatever.
