If the SES light is on, it is some code other than 5284, which you must have read using the instrument cluster diagnostics. Code 5284 is a "normal" bug in the cluster diag function--read more here.
The instrument cluster diagnostic function does not report powertrain DTCs (the ones that make the SES light come on), just a few body and chassis codes that have nothing to do with engine operation. You need to buy a code scanner (Harbour Freight has a competent one that is often on sale for $30), or go by your FLAPS and have them read the code(s) that are triggering the SES, via the OBD2 port.

The codes displayed by the instrument cluster diagnostic mode have nothing to do with the SES (CEL, MIL, etc.) light being on. They are body and chassis codes, and the 5284 code specifically is shown because of an error in the instrument cluster diagnostic program--there is nothing wrong with the oil pressure switch...
The SES (CEL, MIL. whatever we want to call it) is on because of some engine/power train problem that cannot re read through the instrument cluster. You need to buy a code scanner or go by almost any Favourite Local Auto Parts Store (FLAPS) where they will read the code(s) for you, usually for free
Write down the code or codes, they will be "P" followed by 4 numbers--don't worry about what they tell you is wrong as they will just provide the generic description and are often incorrect as to what the real problem is--just get the codes.
When you get the codes look them up here to fins out what is causing them, possible fixes, and diagnostic tips.
