Default 03/04 Hood on near Stock GT

Would my Atlantic Blue '99GT look really out of place with an 03/04 Heat Extractor hood on the car?

I don't have a lot of money to play with as we are about to purchase a home, but I'd like to maybe spend some money on one more thing before I have to buckle down hardcore.

I have the stock bumper with a chin spoiler, and crappy ass headlights that need replaced as well.

Anyone have any input, or maybe pictures of that hood on an otherwise stock GT?

Just my opinion, but no I don't think it would look out of place. In the first place, only other real Mustang/car folks would notice. And second, I know many people prefer the low profile hoods to the later GT hoods with fake hood scoops. Of course, I see you don't have the scoop, but still many people seem to go for the Cobra hood...

I love the 03/04 Cobra hood. I have an 01 Cobra and I don't like it's hood, even though it's similar, mainly because they started putting that hood on 03/04 6-cylinders. That wussed it down in my opinion...

But you mention that you don't have much money to play with. Unless you get lucky and find a blue hood, you're gonna have to spend some dough to give it a decent paint job. Unless of course you that yourself...

So anyway, my 2 cents is that it would look great.

Thumbs up

+1 A termi cobra hood would look great, but they are expensive. I'd say get a grill delete and fix/replace the headlights. It will make a big difference in appearance and will save you some money

Fux him, sell it for 450...that's more than you were offering it to me for. Appreciate the deal though :-)

I ought to just do like they've said and replace the headlights and get a mach 1 delete.

I saw some pictures of my car from just 2-3 years ago and the front looked 100 times better. I think driving it last winter for the first time in 4-5 years did a job on them.

Someday :-(
By the way, was 350 dollars a good price? *someone besides Evan chime in on this lol*

Alright and you can get headlights for around 120 dollars on ebay and they work good and look good.

Should I stick with Chrome clear headlights, or go smoked with clear corners like I like?

armcydiot or whoever has THE car I love.

it would look good, but the headlights have to go...if you can afford to get headlights also the hood would look great...but your car with grille delete and smoked clear corners, will look better than it would how it is now with the cobra hood...plus it will save you some money

FWIW, i love your hood... those are my favorite style aside from a cowl...ide take your hood over an 03/04, 2000 cobra r, etc
