Default MGW shifter stops

I just put in a MGW for a T-45 and the package said not to use the shifter stops. Well every time I high rev shift to 2nd I can feel and hear grinding. I don't power shift. I just shift around 5000 rpm when I get on it. Am I supposed to use the shifter stops and how do I set them?

Hmmm - I didn't install them, and don't have any issues, but I'm not a t-45. You didn't have this issue before the install, right?

You need to set them for the t-45.

They are not needed on the 3650, here is the message I received from George at MGW when I specifically asked.

I plugged the holes with 3/8-16 x 3/8" SS button head caps screws (there's a photo in the above link)...

Thanks for the info. No I didn't have the problem before with the stock shifter. And it doesn't grind when I'm easy on it and shift around 2000-3000 rpm only when I'm hard on it.
