Question 2v vs 4v

Jus got dis 04 GT wit cams, longtube headers full exhaust, n some ecu work. I wanted a cobra because of the 4v heads and im wondering 1. If cobra heads would fit a gt block? 2. Would the potential hp gain of the cobra heads plus cams be worth the trouble of the swap? 3. Would my exhaust bolt up to the cobra heads?

Youre way too badass, cant even put the T on the end of just or even take the extra milisecond to spell out "this". Im not hardcore enough for this thread so Im just going to duck out before thug money tries to do an E-driveby.

To answer your questions, it depends on the route you go with the swap.

If you're gonna be putting on ported 4v heads with aftermarket cams, and a ported/short runner intake, then the swap is worth it. Your compression will be down since the 4v heads have a bigger combustion chamber, though. That wasn't a big deal for me since I'm building a short block on the side.

I did the swap. You'll need to get exhaust manifolds for a 4v head, the ports are different. You'll also need a whole laundry list of little parts, so whether or not the trouble is worth it to you, you'll have to decide.

depending on what cams you already have, i say no?

if they are a good stage 2 cam i don't think itd be worth it.

I gotta tell you man, that made my day. Had I been drinking anything, it would have been all over my screen.

Anyway, to the OP, just mod the 2V like everyone else said. It's too much of a pain to swap the heads over and get em working right.

Glad I could help. I have to say, the slender grasp on grammar that some people have is absolutely apalling sometimes.

stage 3 2v heads w/ cams > than stock 4v heads.

TRADE MY Mach 1 HOOD + scoop set up for easy GT install (attached, no intake system necessary, unless you want it) for a COWL hood and maybe STOCK + CASH (but probably not). The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte
