Whats the best Camshaft for my 04 GT???
Hi everyone, i have an 04 mustang gt with regular bolt ons, 75mm TB, Plenum, Pulleys, 3.73 Gears, Full exhaust, Diablo tuner, air intake, 150 shot of nitrous. So here is the big question, what cam do you goes recommend??? i dont want to change the valve springs on the heads, i just want a cam where i can just bolt on and not tune. ive heard that compa cams 1 is a good one to go with. Help me out guys, really apreciate your replies. thanks

also, for a 150 shot you should be dyno tuned as well...the most ive heard the stock tune being good for is a 100 shot. dont wanna lean it out and blow it up

I'm going with Bullet Racing cams. Call Nick at Modular Head Shop. He has Bullet grind them to his specs, and they have some really nice grinds that don't require a spring change, and work well n/a or with nitrous.

why would you not take the next step and just buy stage 2? you will hardly get the cam "lope" with a stage 1 cam, or the real performance you want. Even my stage 2's are "fairly" mild in regards to cams.
BTW, REPLACE YOUR VALVE SPRINGS. DON'T CHEAP OUT. ESP IF YOU DO STAGE 2. IT IS AS IMPORTANT THE CAMS ITSELF.

+1 Bingo!
Me for example: All I wanted was 300 but it was cheaper to make 400 with a blower. Then I blew my engine. Then it was just a plain rebuild....$8,000 later I've got a 600rwhp (ish) car sitting in my garage collecting dust because it's too fast and I should have had more realistic goals for the type of driver/racer I am.
