Default Help my 60ft and MPH!

second time at the track last night.
last time i ran 2.3 and a 2.7 60 this time a 2.3 again.. however i was running my new tires and was spinning considerably. off the line. now as for the 60ft i know LCA, drag springs, and DR's but i just got new tires so i might look for some used DR's or slicks and put them on 16inch pony rims (pretty light weight) only thing with that is do i put them on for the 45 minutes drive to the track?

Second my MPH ... last time i thought the track was messed up. I trapped a 74 and a 69 this time a 72.... are those normal ? i was told i should trap 15 more! but i thought 99 mph trap speeds where for 1/4 mile norms not 1/8th... whats up with this??

your MPHs are so high because you're spinning so much off the line. What are you launching at? Auto or manual and what size tires.

Auto GT Convertible launching at around 2.3k -2.5k rpms... whatever it holds to i know once i feel it start slipping i let off the gas lol. but was so into it i didnt look.

255 nexan N3000's not the best for drag but good for DD.

and wait my 69 72 and 74 times are high? i was told they where low and i should be around the 90+ but like i said i thought people where trapping 99 in the 1/4 (i raced on the 1/8th)

i put down a 1.99 60ft, with just ford racing b springs, and yokahama 275/40 s drives. but i dont load the converter, just when the light turns green hold it to the floor.
my best time s far (only been to the track once) is an 8.70 at 80 miles per hour.

You ought to be trapping closer to 80 in the 1/8th, and near 100 in the full quarter mile. I just think there was a mix up above.

The Trap speed isn't nearly as important as the ET though as I'm sure you know. As of now, I'd say that your 60' is what's killing you.

74-75 should be just about close. Whoever said you needed to be in the 90's is mistaken. 90's is 400hp territory as far as the 1/8 is concerned.

stock gear + stock converter Auto + 255 nexans = recipe for disaster as far as launching is concerned. You have alot of work to do in that department. Gears and sticky tires at the very least. A 255/16 BFG d/r would work well on an old set of wheels, and they should last for quite a while on the street as well. Pair that with 3.73's and you should be at least in the sub 2.0 range.
