Default Rotating Assembly

If i got this rotating http://www.haneymotorsport.com/HMS%2...ing%20Kits.htm would i have to have it balanced it says its computer balanced but i wanted to make sure before i decided to either buy a rotating assembly or a short block

shouldnt have to...its so cheap though, why would you risk it with such expensive parts? ide have it balanced

true but i was curious i got a quote the other day from a machine shop but that was for boring, balancing, and assembly it was $900 for everything with me supplying all the parts

if the manufacture already balances their kit before they ship it off to you, you shouldnt have to pay someone else to do it. i would ask their sales rep about their kit.

balancing is like $125 most places... if its already balanced, assuming it doesnt get beat to **** while being shipped, then i would say just have it put in how it is if youre worried about money...but dont assume its gonna drop that 900 down a whole lot

well then do you think its cheaper to build the stock block or buy a short block im trying to plan since the car is payed for im taking the car payment well part of it and putting it towards mods so i hope this will be in the near future I have a spare motor so the down time will be the same

If I were to do it again, I would buy a shortblock.

Well it all depends on how much the machine work costs, I got raped on it because I didn't know any better. I ended up spending as muc has I would on an MMR 800 shortblock. I got a few extra things like a teksid block and a shortblock good till 1200 hp, but was it worth it? Probably not.

Oh ok but i already have another motor out of a gt but it has a bent rod on #8 cyl. it will hold the power level that i want which is about 500 to the wheels cant afford anymore than that LOL
