Default Hi Tech stage 2 cams

has anyone heard anything good about these cams? they seems to make pretty good numbers. also came across this video on youtube and this car seems to b running pretty good to say the least. how much would it cost to have cams installed anyway? video-

my local shop quoted me 1300 for the install not counting injectors or anything..hell not even a tune..so my buddy is gonna do it for 300.


..and yea trevors car is a beast!

Use the search function on here, and you'll find a ton of info on these cams. If you are running stock heads these are some of the best cams out there. I'm personally going with Bullet Racing Cams, because i don't want to change springs or do headwork.

For just a "cams only" install i was quoted $450 at my local shop, and with springs about $900.

BTW, what type of nitrous system are you running?

wow didnt know it was so expensive :/ . im runnin a nx wet plate system. i love it. hope to see some lower times when i get better tires and i just got a bottle heater to so that should help quite a bit.

Yeah, a bottle heater and sticky tires are kind of a must with nitrous. I used to run crappy sumitomos on mine and couldn't hook to save my life...lol. Needlees to say i fixed that problem.

thats not to bad then. ill have to call the shop who does my work and see what they say. just lookin for a little more power n/a.

how much power should i gain? i hear ppl saying a full bolt on gt with these cams should make around 300rwhp but im only at 256..r they really gona give me 44 more hp? might b cuz i have different plugs in my car tho...when i got my nitrous put on i put colder plugs in and got it retuned. befor the plugs it made 264

Stage 1 cams are about 20-25rwhp gains. Stage 2 Hightech cams are known for having a better power curve and giving up the peak numbers and you'll gain 25-30rwhp, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. As always, I say go with Cushman Motorsports cams.
