Default SCT X3 Questions

i just ordered a SCT X3 from brenspeed for my 03 GT. got the 87, 91, and 93 tunes. i should have waited because now i plan on getting an exhaust in about a month or two. i dont want to pay $75 for another tune from brenspeed, so i heard about bama chips and its only $50.

my question is if i would get him to e-mail me a new tune to include the exhaust, does that mean that i would have to delete or overwrite one of the tunes from brenspeed since the device can only hold 3 custom tunes? if thats the case i would assume i would overwrite the 87 octane tune since i never use 87 anyway and then have the 91 and 93 octane and the bamachips tune. is that the way that would work?

also for anyone who has used bama chips, which type of tune is better, the one for torque or the performance one.

thanks

Yes that's correct, you'd have to lose one. Check out vmp or modulardepot, vmp was my first choice but their site was having probs when I ordered, so I went w moddepot, no complaints here

Oh really. I thought you did. So your saying it's not worth it to spend the 50 just for a cat back update tune? I plan on getting a mid pipe eventually. Then would it need to be done?

I got my tunes today and of course I wasnt able to empty the fuel tank for the 91 race tune yet so I installed the 87 performance tune and HOLY############ , wow amazing difference, I went from a sled to a rocket I kid you not, I cant wait to install my 91 tune, for those that want to wait dont ( what ever tuner you go with ), my Brenspeed tune is awesome, sorry I waited this long, Instead of appearance mods I should have done this sooner, now this is what a Mustang GT should feel like !!!!

Awesome. I'm getting anxious for mine. I want to see if there will be any difference on a compeltely stock GT. Then hopefully my exhaust will benefit from it even though i won't have a specific tune for it. We'll see

Mines an 03 though so I have less power and torque than you to begin with but hopefully the x3 will make a difference
