Default What to add next, chip, X pipe or gears?

I am picking up a 2001 GT with CAI and flow master mufflers on it and am wondering what would be the best way to spend $500 on it.
The car goes well on the back roads but is a little weak on the highway, it only has 24K on it and looks brand new. Any help would be great.

Do the gears! Best bang for the buck!

Gears and a short throw shifter. The stock shifters suck!

4.10s

4.30s would be a bit on the steep side for DD street car IMO.

That's really a matter of preference. I've heard that there is only a small rpm increase between the 2.

It also depends on what future plans you have for the car.

i think someone recently said 4.30s are only 100 rpm more @ 75, i'd assume its the same throughout the band.

BTW don't ever get a chip, chips are outdated, tuners are where its at.

Gears FTW....You are going to need a tuner though to reset your speedo too. So I would wait until you can afford both and you will get a tune and gears at the same time.

Check that out. It's a package from Americanmuscle. You get 4.10 gears, royal purple gear oil and an SCT SF3 powerflash tuner for $539.00. Just a thought. Plus americanmuscle has free shipping.
