Took me about 15 hours by myself this weekend. My dad helped with the K member since it was a heavy bitch but I pretty much did everything else. I used a combination of stage 8 locking bolts and stock studs with nuts and lock washers. I got one or the other on all 8 holes of each header and feel almost 100% confident I have no issues with the seal. I used brand new steel and graphite gaskets and don't feel any power loss or anything.
I have a slight tick but it's only when I give it a good amount of throttle and it's barely audible. I'm almost positive it is coming from the prochamber to collector connection on the drivers side, as the prochamber socket was angled slightly outward and the bbk collector was not. I did not use RTV or any type of gasket so I think that is the leak source.
The REAL issue is, I am getting this annoying ass rattle that almost sounds like a grinding. It doesn't happen all the time and doesn't seem to be particularly related to how much throttle I give it. It's pissing me off because I know I tightened everything down. I can really feel it more than I can hear it. I can feel it the best through the gas pedal but I can also feel it pretty good if I put my hand/foot on the floor or dash when it's really rattling. It seems like something is beating on the firewall or something. Motor is perfectly set on the motor mounts and secured. Steering is in perfect alignment so nothing should really be out of whack. Any ideas? I can't figure it out.
Here are some pics of the install.
Sorry no video yet - if you guys help me fix it, I'll reward you with one.

Well I know you know why but the question is, why so much? It has plenty of clearance. They could have put half the dent in that they did.
They just aren't very competent designers. One of the pipes is bent too close to the flange to even allow one of the bolts they supplied to be inserted through it. I had to cut off the excess of the stock stud to get a nut on it.

well I can tell you this... that "tick" is more then likley a exhaust leak. My BBK LT's had a hard time fitting onto my prochamber, (it fit, but had to use some kind of sealant to keep it from leaking)

Yeah I know. It scrapes on the ramp going into my apartment complex so I'm going to have my mechanic guy cut up the midpipe and weld it back together so it sits higher and mates with the collectors better. That will take care of the leak. I just need to fix the rattle.
